it is difficult to walk on smoothand wet floor because the friction is less and the required grip is not available so, sometimes we slip on wet floor........... It isdifficult to walk on a smooth or wet floorbecause friction is very less ........

Hey there!!

In this world, there is no object that is perfectly smooth and if you try walking on the perfectly smooth surface, scientists believe you would walk forever. We are able to walk on land, why? it is because there is friction present between your shoes and the ground.

How does friction get generated?
There are many small ridges and grooves on land and shoes and they get interlocked which means, we come to a hault, and hence we can stop when ever we want, we can stop or start walking.

Rough surfaces : There are many grooves present, we will need a lot energy in order to get past the friction on rough surfaces, but we walk the best on rought surfaces, gives us more grip

Smooth surfaces : Smooth surfaces has very less friction, very less interloction, very less ridges and grooves, so we will not have grip on the surface and we slide, and makes it difficult to walk on smooth surfaces.

When we pour water, oil or any other lubricant, these fill in the grooves and ridges and prevents the interlocktion, which perhaps makes the surface smooth and making it difficult to walk again!

Hope my answer helps!
