Why is it easier to hammer a pointed nail into a wall than a blunt nail

We know that pressure=force / area i. e. the more will be the area the less will be the pressure so sharp nail has less area and makes it easier to hammer it on the wall than the blunt nail which has more area and thus produce less pressure
