Why is it easier to lie down on the sand bed as compared to standing on it

As pressure is indirectly proportiinal to area ...n thus with increase in area pressure decreases n vice vesa
Hence when we lie on sand area increases n pressure decreases n when we stand than area decreases n prssure increses....
