Pushing the body from behind means that pulling it. On the Other hand pressing it on the top and then pushing means to Push the body simply. These cases are when the Force is at angle.
Simply, This question can be said which is easier pull or push? or why is it easier to pull a body than to push.
Pull, Normal Reaction (Weight) = mg - F Cosθ
Push Normal Reaction(Weight) = mg + FCosθ
Normal Reaction means weight is Greater in Push than to pull, therefore, it easier to push a heavy block from behind than to press it on the top and push.
