why is it easier to remove fresh stains of ink from clothes than stains caused a few days ago?

It is easier to remove freash stains as when something is just spilt it is still wet and the cloth hasn't absorbed it yest, but when it is caused a few days ago it has already become dry and absorbes by the cloth.

after some period of time the ink stain is harder to remove since it works on the same mechanism as when writing down on paper . clothes lose industry colours painted onto them in the same case ink stain will be removed with the cleansing agents. the ink kept unremoved from the cloth is hard to cleansed because it gets absorbed by the cloth fibres with the passage of time
