Why is it easier to tie a knot in a jute rope than in a silk rope?

Due to more friction in jute tie than a silk tie.

If you see jute and silk thread with magnifying glass then u will known that jute has more irregularities than silk. It is easier to tie a silk knot than jute.This is because of friction only.
