Why is it easierto push a nail in a wooden plank through its pointed end

It wrks on a simple principle that the less the surface area the more will be the pressure . so if the end is not pointed it would b difficult to push it as it's surface area is more

The force which is applied is very low and pressure is more bcuz of it surface area bcuz it has very low surface area to its point.
