See the ozone layer is sometimes not able to filter very less reactive rays but which r ultraviolet and if we look directly towards the sun the rays will react on our soft and delicate tissues of our eyes and therefore we shouldn't look towards the sun directly.

looking at the sun directly can cause damage to your retina.
when the eye is over exposed to the sun which produces the UV rays,it can cause the racking of your retina.it wont directly crack it.
but it may damage he active and soft cells in it and cause it damage too.
if you see it for a long time ,it mat even cause in partial blindness and even permanent blindness.it attacks even the rods and cones present in the retina .
not only that,it will even damage the lens.into ones eye, when the suns ultra light rays enter, think about the poor lens!
