Why is it important 10 wire potentiometer is more sensitive than four wire one?

Potentiometer wire can be made more sensitive by increasing the length of the wire or say increasing the potential gradient. Therefore the potentiometer wire of length 8m is more sensitive than commonly used 4m length potentiometer.
