why is it important to have regular election in a country at regular intervals in a country

its because every party will get to prove themselves not only one for a long period.......so 5years are given when the party could prove themselves...if the people dont like the old one then the next time other party shall be winning and will get chance..........but if that party goes so good its sure it will win again........
