Helping others is dependent on an individual. I mean whether some person wants to help others or not, is dependent on his own decision at that time.
Helping others could be good at times. It could turn out to be bad and lossy too at times. In any case helping others requires one's time, effort, resources and money. Helping also requires patience and good nature to withstand some inconvenience. Further a helping person has to have patience sufficiently to be able to completely go through the helping process.
It is needed to identify the genuinity of the help that is sought. Often we see beggars on street. Perhaps they may not need to be helped. Quite a few of them turn beggars and become lazy to do work. Some persons ask help because they are lazy and want to take advantage of helping persons.
Helping others indicates the benevolent nature of a person. Often people who help others expect good favours from the God. It is believed that those who help the needy will get help from God. Also it is said a friend in need is a friend indeed. Thus since ancient times helping others has been treated as a great virtue.
A great example of helping others were given in Hindu mythologies. Lord Krishna helped his childhood friend Kuchela. Karna in Mahabharata, and Emperor Sibi were famous donors of money or givers of favours.
Helping others who are in great need is very useful to maintain some equilibrium between the poor and the rich. Helping poor allows poor to live and see the next few decades. It gives them a chance to live on.
Helping others is a noble trait of a person and is a sign of humanity in him/her. Among the countries in this 21st century, whenever a natural calamity occurs, rich countries collect food, medicine, clothes and materials and help the affected people immediately.
If helping nature is not there is this world, then a mother will not have helped her infant to eat and drink. She would not have take care of the infant for some years before the newborn can do everything by himself or herself. So God has created living beings along with an inbuilt trait that is called "Helping Others".
Now here we are on an educational site called "Brainly". Its main motto is helping young boys and girls in schools and colleges. Helping others who are not able to do things by themselves is what we need to do. There is no need to help those who can do things by themselves.

hi ,i will brief explain it:
you wouldn’t want people to be kind to you, to be helpful, to be understanding, to be generous, to be polite. What goes around comes around! I help because I like the happiness in people’s eyes, the gratefulness they have towards you and the connection that it establishes with living things in general!You don’t have to pay to help. You get their admiration when you help people and people earn mine when they help me. It is a cycle of Selfishness but one which is innocent and pure! :)
