Drainage basins are important in ecology. As water flows over the ground and along rivers it can pick up nutrients, sediment, and pollutants. With the water, they are transported towards the outlet of the basin, and can affect the ecological processes along the way as well as in the receiving water source. Within a given drainage area (catchment) which should preferably is an important aspect in this regard.

It is important to manage drainage because if it is dirty it will led to many types of diseases,so we should manage it.if it is clean we can prevent ourselves from diseases.
