Novels can be defined in different ways by different individuals.
- A novel is a genre of entertainment for reading enthusiasts. It again has millions of sub-genres because of which their different forms are hard to define.
- A writer writes a novel by pouring out their creativity and state of mind, and this is the basis of the structure of a story. One can say the content of a novel is clearly psychological, which again is increasingly hard to define.
- There is fiction, non-fiction, biographies, science, history and many more. The novel can be as large as thousands of pages or as small as a newspaper.
- This makes it hard to put a pin on a standard definition for a novel.
