Ethanol is a renewable content and is the by product of the sugar industry.
the reason ethanol is mixed with fuel is because it burns itself clear resulting in a decrease in the carbon mono-oxide, carbon dioxide and hydrocarbons which are the main reasons for air pollution.
This helps in reducing the air pollution levels.
