why is it more dangerous to touch a electric switch when body is wet, than when it is dry?

It is more dangerous to hold electric appliances with wet hands than dry hand as water(h2o) is an good conductor of electricity. generally water is a good conductor of electricity and also our body . thus we get electric shocks
