why is it neccessary to separate oxygenated and deoxygenated blood in mammals and birds?

because mammals need to warm there body and for warmness there body it is neccesary to have a good supply of oxygen in whole body and if oxygenated blood which is basically contains o2 and deoxygenated blood contains co2 mixed or we can say if o2 and co2 mixed together there is less supply of oxygen in the body and also co2 will supply in body ,also co2 has ability to combine with hb if excess in body ,so if co2 excess in body , then hemoglobin will combine co2 instead of o2 and hence it is neccessary to seprate oxygenated blood and deoxygenated blood
