because it makes it more informative and it is easy to know to many moles of substances are there in a chemical reaction .

Chemical equations are balanced to make them follow law of conservation of mass, according to which,

"Mass can neither be created nor destroyed"

In other words,

"For any chemical reaction,

Mass of reactants = Mass of products"

This wil be possible only if the reaction is balanced, otherwise the reaction will seems to unfollow this law which is incorrect.

Hope this will help you.
