(i) To safeguard ourselves from health hazards as the quality of water is badly affected by discharge of urban wastes, industrial effluents, pesticides and fertilisers.
(ii) To ensure food security to the people.
(iii) Continuation of human activities and prevention of degradation of environment.

it's very important to save water because water plays vital role in our life very few fresh water is left.if water get finished our earth will no longer be said blue planet we use water for many purposes. after few years we have to buy water .so friends save water so that we need not have to depend on other for water resources.
