{Heya\: Mate..!}

Ques: Why is it necessary to separate oxygenated and deoxygenated blood in mammals and birds ?

Ans: Mammals are birds are warm blooded and thus they need to maintain their body levels.

The necessity of the separation of deoxygenated blood from the oxygenated blood is there for avoiding their mixing. Warm blooded animals can't tolerate the mixing of both oxygenated and deoxygenated blood.Thus,septum acts as the barrier in our hearts.

Here is your answer:-

Separation of oxygenated and deoxygenated blood allows good supply of oxygen to the

body. This system is useful in animals that have high energy requirement Mammals and

birds constantly need oxygen to get energy to maintain constant body temperature
