i) The number of the people is very large who can't sit together everyday and take all the decisions
ii) everyone does not have the time and knowledge to take decisions
iii) This problem can be solved through regular election which is a democratic way to select representatives

Modern form of Democracies are representative Democracies. Not having elections will surely impact our society and will lead to the following:
a. Owing to large territory and large population it is not possible for people to assemble together and make policies for themselves, hence representatives are to be chosen.
b. It will lead to chaos and turmoil in the society.
c. Not having elections is against the democratic principles and will pave the way for an autocratic form of government with absolute powers.
