for example
mercury and bromine are both in liquid state at common temperature

It is nt compulsory that all metals must be solid in nature and all non metals must be liquid or gaseous in nature .
eg:- metals can also be in liquid form (Mercury)
non metals _____(Bromine)
non metals in solid (graphite)
