"The cellulose fibers in paper are even smaller than the ice crystals in a Slurpie. Light is refracted and reflected back out of the paper over a distance scale so small that the surface appears solid. cellulose bends light more than ice because it has a larger index of refraction."

Hello!

<> It is possible to see through the paper if it soak up oil/fat because the oil is transparent but only if there is sun light ( not only sun light but u can also use a torch) . The rays of the sunlight makes it clear to see the paper. The paper is not totally transparent but is TRANSLUCENT.

<> hope this helps

JC143: YES IT IS :) you also talk about the light and how its like a reflection to the paper and how rays of sunlight help see the paper so I do believe your answer is correct
Namita11: oh thanks
