why is it preferable to use a push button switch for your door bells and not an on/off switch?​

simple thing is: on and off switch buttons are meant for electricity as they are designed that way ( I can go deep in physics but this is more of a philosophical question)

so using push button was the "other option" which now serves the purpose of SOUND

also some people find it more convenient and preferable to use a push button (strange but true)
