The dark phase of photosynthesis has nothing to do with dark. This process can take place even in the presence of light,but does not necessarily require light.
●The term dark reaction does not mean that they occur when it is dark at night.
●It only means that the reactions are not depend on light.
●we can call the darrk phase of photosynthesis as light independent phase.
