Its answer is that Just as the grass acts as food for some animals like herbivores and provides them energy, The flesh also acts like food for animals like carnivorous and provides them energy..

"All flesh is grass" means that all animals are derived from plants. In food chain plants are producer which make food through the process of photosynthesis by capturing sunlight. These plants are then consumed by primary comsumer on first level of trophic . The secondary consumer then eats primary consumer. It is therefore eventually that all organism depend on plants for their food either directly or indirectly.............
