Why is it said that india has a central location between east and west asia

bcz if we look from space we will find that it is located in east but if we see from earth view we will find that it is in western side

 Central location of India is of great significance because:
1.India has a central location in east and west  Asia.
2.India is the southward extension of Asian continent.
3.The trans Indian ocean routes connect the countries of Europe in the west and countries of west Asia.
4.Deccan peninsula protrudes into the Indian ocean and help India to have contact with west Asia,Africa and Europe from west coast.
