why is it SO2 as sulphur valency is 2 and oxygen valency is also two then why are they not cancelling each other and why it's not only SO . Pls explain

Here's the answer you are looking for
1 sulphur atom combines with 2 O atoms to give SO2.
The valency of S here is +4 not -2. And not always the valency of S is -2. It depends on the atom bonded to it. If the bonded atom is electropositive than S then it's valency is -2 and if the bonded atom is electronegative than S then it's valency changes accordingly.
For this you need to draw the structure and see the structure in the attachment.
