Because a wooden chair is a solid and solids have least interparticle
space between their molecules while in liquids they have less
interparticle space between their molecules as compared to solids and
solids have definite shape like a wooden chair but liquids have not.So a
wooden chair is a solid.

Hey friend!
___________
Here is your answer

A wooden chair has all the qualities of a soild. A wooden chair cannot be compressed, it has fixed shape and does not take shape of a container. It has least inter molecular spaces between them and highest force of attraction. It had a fixed density and volume too. A wooden chair cannot flow.
