Why is it that even after finding rydberg constant, lyman, paschen, bracket, pfund series came later.

Even after finding rydberg constant, lyman, paschen, bracket, pfund series came later because the Lyman series lies in the ultraviolet, whereas the Paschen, Brackett, and Pfund series lie in the infrared.
