why is it that even through two sides amd an angle are equal, the third sides are not equal?

If two sides and one angle of one triangle is equal to the other two sides and angle of another triangle, then the two triangles may or may not be congruent. For the two triangles to be congruent, the angle must be contained in the two sides. Thus, by SAS rule the two triangles will be congruent.
