The reason why non metals do not displace hydrogen from dilute acid is bcz . unlike metals non metals do not hace a tendency to loose electrons but to gain electrons . Metals have a tendency to loose electrons . The electrons which are lost by reactive metals like sodium and potassium are accepted by hydrogen ions of the acid . However non metals do not loose electrons bcz. of which the do not displace hydrogen frm acids .... ✌✌✌✌
