why is it that the halleys comet returns after 76 years????? cant it return after 12 or 13 years????????

its because the halleys comet has its own fixed orbit just like earth revolving around the sun so as earth cannot complete its revolution in 100 or 200 days halleys comet also cant return the earths revolution and comets revolution coincides only once in 76 years
