oxidation involves loss of electron while reduction involves gain of electron
the electron lost in oxidation is taken up in reduction

oxidation is a loss of electrons and reduction is the gain of electrons in Redox reaction are the reactant loses electrons to the other day oxidation and reduction electron to each other and complementary processes that is why to say the operation cannot open the reduction
