Why is it totally dark in southpole when northpole is towards sun?

For part of our orbit the northern half of Earth is tilted toward the Sun. This is summer in the northern hemisphere; there are longer periods of daylight, theSun is higher in the sky, and the Sun'srays strike the surface more directly, giving us warmer temperatures. Thenorth pole is in constant daylight

Because the Earth is tilted, when it is totally dark in South pole, the north pole is towards the Sun and vice versa
