♥ It is a docile bee compared to other bee species. It is not as furious as rock bee or Indian bee.

♥ Due to this characteristics handling of this bee is easier.It is fully adoptive for apiary rearing.

♥ This bee is a high honey yielder. Honey yield per hive is about 4 to 5 times more compared to Indian bee. Only rock bee produces more honey than Italian bee but it can not be raised in apiaries.

Italian bees are not as efficient in pollinating local fauna as are Indian bees. Also, level of disease tolerance is high in Indian bees.
