Why is jute fibers normally not used to make clothes?

Jute cannot be used for making clothes because it is too rough and if you wear clothes made up of wool you will end up having rashes on your body and your body will itch. Juteis used to make bags,mats,ropes etc. therefore clothes cannot be made up of jute.
