Why is kinetic friction always less than static friction?

Because kinetic friction is moving so it does not allow the gravity to settle it down there but in static object gravity is acting more,and as friction depends upon gravity therefore, kinectic friction is less than static friction always

the surface area irregularities between two surface infoblox with each other which makes it harder to overcome it initially but once the interlocking is broken or overcomes it's easier to slide the surface this is the reason for kinetic friction always less than static friction
