why is Kolkata rainier in July than in June unlike Shillong which is rainier in June than in July

because of retreating monsoons it receives rainfall in July......

So, Shillong is rainier in June while Kolkata is rainier in July. (vi)Jodhpur is on the edge of the Thar Desert and by the time the monsoon winds reach it, most of their moisture is finished. Delhi is more east than Jodhpur and so it receives more rainfall.
