As we know that land is one of the most important factor of agriculture but it is fixed.
The agricultural land is decreasing day by bay due to urbanization this leads to scarcity agricultural land.
The rest of the land is used intensively for agriculture in countries like India and there is no further scope to increase land as there is no land left.
Thus, to meet the food requirement Govt. had taken certain steps.
) Farmers were encouraged to use HYV (Higher Yield Variety) seeds.
) Farmers were encouraged to use fertilizers, weedicides and seedicides to increase production.
) Techniques like mixed farming, inter-cropping were encouraged.
Due to these steps the agricultural produce grew upto 3X more.
