Laser light is used for optical fiber communications for the simple reason that it is a single wavelength light source. ... Because ordinary light contains many different wavelengths of light, differences emerge in speed of transmission, reducing the number of signals that can be transmitted in any set time.

For high speed data transmission you need to use laser and not just laser but laser, see.what determines the bandwidth of optical fibers .leser light is always usef for optical fibre communication for the simple reason that it is a single wavelength ,Light source sunlight on the lights emitted ray.light bulb is optical fibre .!!!
