In biology we require a standard language that will not have any modifications or changes, unlike English, which keeps changing, so it is easy for the world to follow Latin in biological dialects.

HEYA,

---> At the time of Carl Linnaeus, published books that are now used as a starting point of biological nomenclature in latin.

---> Latin was used in western Europe as the common language of science and scientific names.

---> Hence the trend continued and latin became common language for naming organism.

Hope it helps
