it simply depends on lattice energy as we know the size is inversely propotional to lattice energy so when the size will be small, lattice energy will be more

in this the size of chloride is small so ther lattice energy will be more and in iodide the size is big so its lattice energy will be lee than hydration energy so it will dissolve easily
