why is loamy soil best for growing crops?

equeen031: Loam soils are best for plant growth because sand, silt, and clay together provide desirable characteristics. First, the different-sized particles leave spaces in the soil for air and water to flow and roots to penetrate. The roots feed on the minerals in the suspended water.

A good growth of crops is dependent on the various aspects of a soil, such as;

1) Physical composition.

2) Water retaining capabilities.

3) Fertility.

And these three aspects of loamy soil is mostly perfect and that's why it is suitable for most of the harvesting seasons throughout the whole year and farmers also prefer this type of soil for their benefits.
