Why is lok sabha superior to rajya sabha?

Both Lok sabha and Rajya sabha are part of Indian Parliament.But as how Lok sabha enjoys much greater power than Rajya sabha.Members of Loksabha are directly elected by the members directly whereasRajya Sabha is Upper Council which is selected by state Legislative.
Lok Sabha has certain powers that make it more powerful than the Rajya Sabha.
