the king lord ullin was angry because he did not like the relationship between his daughter and the lord ulva because he was not up to their status abd nobility and when his daughter ran away with his lover the ulva,so he was angry.
when the two lover ran away together he asked his army people to follow them both and kill the ulva.And at the end of this poem when the two lovers were sailing in the storm he became very afraid that his daughter will die in this storm and asks her to come back again so that he will forgive them both.
