Why is LPG filled in cylinders under pressure?

here is ur answer...

LPG is liquefied petroleum gas (usually butane or propane) filled in cylinders under pressure so that the gas remains in liquid state. The cylinders have a valve which regulate the pressure. When the valve is opened the pressure inside the cylinder decreases and the liquid changes into gas which we use to cook food.

When the valve is opened the pressure inside the cylinder decreases and the liquid changes into gas which we use to cook food. Also butane/ propane in gaseous form expand tremendously with increase in temperature so it is not safe to fill them in cylinders in gaseous form.
