Maddie is embarrassed by the questions Peggy asks Wanda because she is also poor and understands the mental condition of Wanda. She also wears dresses handed down by a rich family. Though she is an American she has the same mind-set as Wanda and doesn't want anyone to tease Wanda because of her dress or her name.

Maddie is embarrassed by the que asked by Peggy bcoz she thought tht she would be the next target after wanda to tease . She is not lyk wanda but she is not so rich and she hand me down clothes of Peggy. so Maddie got always embarrassed bcoz of the que asked by peggy.
