Why is maggie an angel in disguise ?

Maggie is an angel in disguise as before her entering in the house of Joe Thompson , his wife was ill tempered and only thought about herself and both the husband and wife used to fight a lot. In the starting we can see that Jane tells her husband that he has to leave Maggie at the poorhouse but at the end we can see that her attitude towards Maggie changed drastically and she did not want Maggie to go away. This was due to the rise of motherly feelings in Jane, a childless woman. This is why Maggie was an angel in disguise.

Maggie is an "Angel in disguise " because when Maggie was not there in their  house the atmosphere of there house was very cold and dark because they were not having child or anybody whom they can take care of.But after when Maggie entered in there house they got a child .And because of Maggie the behavior of Mrs Joe Thompson totally changed from a angry and ill tempered woman to a kind hearted  mother.Thus Maggie was an angel in disguise.
