Why is mercury used more in thermometer than alcohol ​

as the temperature increases the liquid in the bulb expands and pushes higher into the glass tube. As is cools, it... Alcohol thermometers are used ratherthan mercury thermometers in very cold regions becausealcohol has a lower freezing pointthan mercury.

Hey mate..
Mercury is used more in thermometer becoz it has a high coefficient expansion rate therefore is sensitive to the heat of our body. it has a high boiling point also and can be used to measure high temperature
