Mixture of chalk and water is a suspension because of the following reason:-

• The particles are very big more 100 barometer in diameter .

• It can be seen with microscope.

• The particles settle down when left undisturbed.

• It cannot pass through filter paper so, it can be separated by filtration.

• The particles are bug so, they show tyndall effect.

Because the mixture of chalk powder and water show all the properties of suspension so, it is a suspension.
